Our church's Mission

Dear friends

I pray that 2024 will be a year when you know God’s grace, more than ever before.

May 2024 be a joyful year for you, in which you understand the heart of our Father in heaven, even more than you do now.

And a big thank you for all the good work you have done in 2023.

I want especially to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who took part in our Prayer Day in October. We’ll say a bit more about this at our members’ meeting on January 28th, but I want to let you know about one plan now, which has come together as the deacons have thought about the responses to the Prayer Day.

Our services from January 14th up to Easter Sunday are going to focus on our church’s mission.

Each Sunday will have a particular theme, which we will circulate.

We’ll be asking our prayer groups to use some of their time to focus on these themes, and encouraging people to get together to pray, in person or virtually, during the week.

We hope to hear from the groups that use the Community Hall and at least one of our ‘Good Causes.’

I’ll be sharing about some of the things I get up to, and I’d like to hear from you too. Where, apart from our church structures, are you seeking to live for the Lord? I’d love to hear about it.

Our monthly evening services will include time for prayer; the first one will be on Sunday January 14th at 6:30pm.

God has given us a mission. My prayer for 2024 is that this mission will flourish.

In his grace

James
